Starting in 2021 to the present day, I have been participating in the High Power Rocketry Club (HPRC) here at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

For the 2021 rocket, I created the antenna design for the rocket to communicate with the antenna I made for the ground downlink station. Both antennas were created for 900Mhz; the antenna on the rocket was an Omnidirectional patch antenna. The ground station antenna was a directional helical antenna. The process of designing the antenna using custom-coded software to machining the antennas was a great learning experience. The years of being an amateur radio enthusiast have given me many years of experience in radio frequency engineering.

I also worked on the recovery system of the antenna, in which I did some simulations of the parachute to ensure that the stress would not overload the components of the rocket.

The learning experience furthered my years of experience in radio frequency engineering and my experience in engineering design and Solidworks, and It also developed my expertise in leadership, manufacturing, and critical thinking.
