Radiosonde [Gen 1]

What a Radiosonde is:

A radiosonde is a battery based telemetry instrument carried into the upper atmosphere. Usually by a weather balloon that can measure various atmospheric parameters.

Engineering Goals:

Engineering an inexpensive, versatile radiosonde for scientific research in the upper atmosphere and near space.

The radiosonde must be versatile, durable and have a expandable experiment bay in the payload. So it can be used for a variety of missions and/or experiments. The radiosonde must be inexpensive (for a radiosonde). Around $250 or less. Alongside being inexpensive it must also be robust and can float. It will be able to be reused and will last for longer missions/experiments. It is capable to do high-quality scientific research.
